Description
Saint Lawrence, deacon and martyr, lived in the 3rd century during the persecution of Christians in Rome. He cared for the poor and supported them with money and gifts. Emperor Valerian demanded all riches from him. But Lawrence divided the riches among the poor Christians. Off course, Valerian didn't accept this disobedience and Lawrence's ordeal began.
