Publishers Information

Founded in 1991 by Guido Henn and Christian Buss, the publishing house was converted into a GmbH in 1993. After concentrating on folksy brass music, the offer was quickly expanded to include symphonic brass music; especially the "Borgsdorfer Kreis".

The permanent upward trend made it necessary to move to much larger premises in 1996. In the same year the label "HeBu Records" was founded and the first publishing CD was produced.

In 1999 Guido Henn left the publishing house due to his work as a professional musician. With the publishers • Northeastern , • C. Alan , • Last Resort Music Publishing , • Ludwig Music , • Piano Records (USA) , • Beriato (Belgium) , • Tierolff Muziekcentrale (Netherlands) and • Baton (Netherlands) that belong to this were delivered exclusively by HeBu at the time, as well as cooperation with the publishers: • Editions Marc Reift (CH) , • Molenaar (NL), • Robert Martin (F) and numerous other publishers from Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Norway created the conditions for a successful future.

At least 8 times a year, the latest news from the publishing house with information from the areas of wind orchestras, sound carriers, wind chamber music and music books are published.

With Thorsten Reinau and Alexander Knam - both, like Christian Buss, active as conductors and musicians in various brass bands - two more competent employees were recruited in 2001, who underpin the service concept of HeBu Musikverlag. In March 2005 we received support from Norbert Braun from the music publisher Georg Bauer KG, Karlsruhe, so that we could respond even better to the wishes of our customers .

On the occasion of the 2003 Frankfurt Music Fair, a network of leading European wind orchestra wholesalers called "4 Winds - The Conductor's Choice" was founded, of which HeBu Musikverlag is a co-founder and co-initiator. In order to be able to act even more flexibly, but above all more effectively - and thus more customer-oriented - in May 2004 a new publishing house, especially erected for the HeBu Musikverlag, was moved into.

In 2008, Thorsten Reinau moved to a publishing house in Austria with which HeBu maintains friendly relations. In the same year, the managing director Christian Buss died tragically during a concert tour. From this time on, his wife Sandra Buss took over the business with Alexander Knam and continued to run the company.

During Musikmesse 2009 further agreements were made with the publishers Scomegna (Italy) and HaFaBra (Belgium) . In 2013 the music publisher Melodie der Welt GmbH & Co. KG approached us and handed over the sheet music sales of the self-publishing company and later also the published catalog of Clou-Music Wolf to us for delivery. Well-known successful titles by Hubert Wolf such as: "The Chimney Sweep from Eger" and "Every Day Brings New Hope" have since been available in a reprint on DIN A4 with all the voices that are now feeble.

The "Guido Henn Edition" was founded in 2014, in which the sheet music editions of "Guido Henn and his golden brass band music" are distributed. In the same year we took over the music store of Advance Music GmbH (Veronika Gruber) in Rottenburg.

In 2015, the delivery and administration of Schorer Musikverlag and Musikverlag Andreas Schorer was taken over. In the same year we also took over the distribution for the Inntal Musikverlag from Oberaudorf.

Since April 2016, Matthias Falke, a former employee of Musikhaus Schlaile in Karlsruhe, has been part of our team. As an expert in the field of chamber music and school works, he complements us in an excellent way.

In 2017, Inntal-Musik-Verlag GbR, which had been in delivery since 2015, became our property in full.

Since March 1st, 2018 we have taken over the delivery and administration of the publishers Joh. Siebenhüner Musikverlag OHG and Neil A. Kjos Music Company . In October of the same year, the Johann Gross Musikverlag from Innsbruck became our property.

Since August 1st, 2018 we have been exclusively delivering the sales material of Kistner und Siegel Musikverlag .

A few months later we took over the exclusive delivery for Europe for the US American publisher C. Alan Publication
