Program Notes

This piece had been in my head for years, even decades, and I finally wrote it down while on holiday in Singapore, at the residence of two graduates of the University of Wisconsin campuses in Oshkosh and Stevens Point. It was premiered by the composer and bass drummer Norman Myers with the Grenadiers Band, Dr. Helen Godfrey speaker, in Quandt Fieldhouse at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, for an opening ceremony of the Wisconsin state Special Olympics. We went through it many times in between marches played by the band.
