Description

Dreadnought by Caleb Pickering is a percussion ensemble inspired by the Royal Navy's HMS Dreadnought, the first ship of its size and strength; it often won naval battles without suffering any casualties, overpowering the enemy with overwhelming force. As you might guess from the title, this piece is aggressive and energetic. It's not specifically programmatic, but it would be easy to pull out the idea of "naval warfare" from the colors created. Put it on your concert and add tension and power to the program.
