The Yuletide Marimbist, Book 2 was created to continue filling the void in Christmas literature for 4-mallet solo marimba. Like the first book, these arrangements span a wide range of styles and are suitable for diverse performance venues – both sacred and secular. Only a 4.3-octave (low A) marimba is necessary, but you are welcome to play some bass notes down one octave if you have an extended range instrument. A bonus companion book is included, giving you the option to turn each arrangement into a duet, trio, or even a quartet. Use your imagination! All of the arrangements are flexible in that they may be repeated one or more times by utilizing “D.S./D.C.” indications. Suggested stickings can be found throughout, but they are merely recommendations based on my own technique and musical sensitivities.
