This is the ensemble version of Burritt’s popular piece for solo marimba and percussion trio. It explores the full range of the instrument and of marimba technique. Extremely challenging, but idiomatic writing makes this an impressive piece to add to your repertoire. Once you learn the ensemble version, you can easily play the solo version (Shadow Chaser) on your next solo recital.
