Program Notes
Moon Chasers for Solo Marimba and Percussion Ensemble is based on Mark Ford’s original marimba solo with the same name. Written for his wife, Ewelina, Moon Chasers is the story of two people in love who are unable to be together. So the moon connects them like a bridge across the ocean. The music is a cinema-scope journey of three themes that follow an unexpected path.
