Editor for Somers Music Publications is Michael LaRosa. Mr. LaRosa is an award winning educator, and author. He is the recipient of two Celebration of Excellence Awards from the Connecticut State Dept. of Education and the 1993 Teacher of the Year Award form the Ashford, Connecticut School System. He is a former faculty member of the Julius Hartt School of Music of the University of Hartford, and the author of numerous works for percussion including, CONTEMPORARY DRUM METHOD. A graduate of Hartt School of Music of the University of Hartford, he holds degrees in both Music Education and Music Performance. He studied percussion with Alexander Lepak, and vibraphone with Gary Burton.
