Instructions
Each player plays one 5 gallon plastic bucket and either a brake drum or a metal mixing bowl.
• Two tom toms, two snare drums with snares off, 2 splash cymbals, and two small cymbal stacks are all shared between players.
• The four brake drums and mixing bowls should be graduated in pitch, descending from high to low in the following order:
Brake Drum 1, Mixing Bowl 1, Brake Drum 2, Mixing Bowl 2
• The four membranes should be graduated in pitch, descending from high to low in the following order:
Snare Drum 1, Snare Drum 2, Tom Tom 1, Tom Tom 2
About Cymbal-Stacks: An 8-inch splash cymbal stacked on top of a 10 or 12-inch splash cymbal. Not all cymbals have the same profile – experiment with cymbal pairs to find a “fit” that produces the desired white-noise effect with a short decay.
