Description

Written in a 4/4 march style, 'La Grande Marche' can be performed by any student with an understanding of eighth, sixteenth notes, flams and 5- stroke, 9- stoke and long rolls. After working with my students using the Haskell Hart piano Accompaniments, I decided to write a group of fun solos using snare drum and piano. This unique and challenging solo contains precise exchanges of accents and dynamics between the players, making each instrument enhance each other in the performance. This work would be perfect for any solo and ensemble festival.
