Program Notes

Tributes for Snare Drum by Ted Atkatz is a great set of snare drum solos for any advanced high school or college-aged student. All of these solos were very cleverly dedicated to the styling's of various composers that Atkatz admired - the solos reflect those composer's work and composition style. The selections have a wide range of tempo variances, dynamic ranges, rudimental demands and musicality expressiveness that would show off any snare player's talents. This set of 30 solos would be excellent for students who are auditioning, playing at festivals or percussion concert repertoire.
