Performance Note

1. Careful mallet selection is important in maximizing ensemble balance and blend. For xylophone, a softer rubber or cord(vibe) mallet will keep the tone and volume more characteristic of the piece.
2. If using piano, this could be played with three performers.
3. The triangle part starting at measure 27 require muffling which is denoted by a + above the note. All other notes are played open.
4. For marimba, if the double-stop octaves in marimba and vibraphone parts are too difficult, feel free to omit one of the notes.
