			This is another fine contribution to the literature for solo vibraphone by Siegfried Fink. The solo is in five short movements, most are one page in length, and the third movement is two pages. The suite opens in common time with a rather bold, majestic theme. The second movement, marked Adagio has several short bursts of notes spaced between long chordal or linear passages. Movement III has several short sections of contrasting style, tempo and rhythm. The fourth movement is chorale-like in style, and the last movement consists primarily of fast arpeggiated 16th and 8th note passages. Each movement requires four mallet technique. The melodic and harmonic material is contemporary through out the solo. The editing and the print is excellent and easy to read.
