== Description ==
These ten etudes for two timpani were written to compliment the exercises and instruction found in [[The Fundamental Timpanist]] by [[Matthew McClung]]. These etudes are not necessarily progressive. Instead, each etude corresponds to one lesson from the method book and was written to provide a context for further reinforcement and exploration of the skills and techniques presented. There are no etudes provided for those lessons that address tuning or require more than two drums, allowing each of these etudes to be practiced on any two surfaces if needed.
