Three full-fledged pieces in one composition, Groovy moves, Lazy Latin and Funky Stuff!, which can also be played separately!. Percussion Party was written for a small ensemble, making it suitable for many percussion groups. Percussion Party will certainly also do well at outdoor performances by your percussion group and will certainly appeal to a large audience. It is not a very rhythmically complicated work. It is mainly about finding the right atmosphere, groove/beat and ensuring a coherent interplay. The sound of instruments is important. In terms of (tone) height they should be well matched; the work also requires that. Especially the toms, which should not produce a &quot;woolly&quot; sound but a nice, more &quot;dry deep&quot; sound. A clear and well-defined timbre also contributes to beautiful articulation, especially if the correct mallets/sticks are used. The ride cymbal to be used must have a clear and immediately appealing sound. The crash cymbal, on the other hand, has a more “dry, aggressive direct sound”. Also make sure that the percussion instruments, such as the maracas, are clearly audible (two sets?) and in balance with the other instruments. It would be nice if choreographic movements were introduced here and there. It&#039;s a party and it doesn&#039;t have to be so “stiff”. Be creative with this at your own discretion!
