Ojo (evil eye) was written for the UTRGV Percussion Ensemble in the fall of 2018 for their performance in the PAS Concert Chamber Percussion Ensemble Competition. The quick passages, rhythmic variety, and timbre changes are meant to grab the attention of the audience and keep them engaged throughout the duration of the work; giving the performers &amp;quot;ojo&amp;quot; because there is no other option but to watch and listen intently.&lt;br /&gt;
