Litter Liter Lieder was written for the 2017 ESU Music Day Percussion Section. This is a day where as many as 40-50 musicians come together and perform chamber music with each other. This piece was designed for the high school and middle school students to perform for the closing concert. The piece is written to allow multiple players playing a variety of instruments on each of the mallet and percussion parts. <br />

Litter Liter Lieder is a play on words where the musicians are performing on plastic soda bottles and trash cans. The litter is the trash, the liter is the 1-2 liter bottles and Lieder means song - in our case a rhythmic song without words ;-)<br />
The performance has "STOMP"esque qualities to it where the performers will move around the stage and play with various implements throughout the piece. The composition explores the many sounds you can get from various parts of the bottle while finding a groove with the trash cans and barrels. <br />
