			A classically trained vocalist and composer, improvising pianist, producer and electronic musician, Paul
			Fowler works across the divide between classical, jazz, world, pop and avant-garde musics. His concert
			works, described by the New York Times as “radiant, ghostly, and shimmering,” have been performed at
			Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the National Concert Hall of Taiwan and the Borealis Festival of
			Norway among others, and have received the First Music Award, ASCAP Morton Gould Young
			Composer Award, Louis Smadbeck Composition Award and Swan Composer Award (Honorable
			Mention). A sampling of his recent projects include a film score with experimental guitarist, Janet Feder,
			an overtone choir piece for the Ars Nova Singers, a site-specific collaborative work for orchestra
			composed with Bora Yoon and Paul Haas for New York’s Park Avenue Armory, a set of songs for The
			Catamounts' production of “God’s Ear” at Boulder’s Dairy Center (in which Fowler also acted), and an
			electronic work for San Francisco-based Hope Mohr Dance. The Crossing recently recorded three of his
			choral works for separate albums on Navona and Innova labels. As a classical voice soloist Fowler has
			performed with the Syracuse Symphony, New York's cutting edge ensemble SYMPHO, and with several
			choirs in Colorado and New Mexico. He can also be heard scatting in jazz clubs and singing on various
			albums produced in the Colorado region. As a pianist and sideman Fowler has worked with jazz
			luminaries, Bruce Dunlap, Rob Schepps, and Andre Wright, was musical director for Grammy-winner
			Robert Mirabal, and has performed across the country as well as in Japan, Ecuador, and at New Orleans
			JazzFest. At his home in Boulder he produces albums for local artists, maintains a private teaching
			studio and teaches several courses at Naropa University. Fowler studied voice, composition and theater
