			Two modes of performance are possible with this work: 1) as written for vibraphone and guitar; or 2) it could be performed with the guitar part transferred to the marimba, transposed down one octave. Of only intermediate level technical difficulty, the beauty of this composition demands mature concepts of the performer. Thus it is an ideal piece for the adult amatuer, the transfer student from another musical instrument, or for the general percussionist. The first movement, "Invention" extends the usual format almost into that of the theme and variations. "Recitativ" is dramatic. The final movement, "Rondo", moves at a lively pace and includes an attractive cadenza for each instrument alone.
